Sustainability
My professional background represents a mix of working as an activist, policy director and researcher. Educated with a background in social anthropology, I was inspired by ecological economics. I count with many years of experience in projects dealing with international cooperation, sustainable development, resource justice, and governance. I was involved in high level negotiations, as an NGO representative in Flemish, Belgian, European and United Nations decision-making processes. Building bridges between several sectors and groups (development, environment, women, health, agriculture, scientists, etc.) is something I love to do, so that we can all join the common fight in achieving social and environmental justice.
I would never promote one or simple solutions for complex problems, but I will always try to combine the variety of approaches needed for fundamental and systemic changes of our economies, our lifestyles, and the way we are organised.
